Please excuse the green stuff!

There appeared least night on my glass and I tried to get the best picture I could. Checking this morning they have not moved at all, so I doubt they are baby snails. My first thought was snail eggs, but I've only seen those in close bunches with "patterns". Any ideas? I'm not worried, just curious...

I don't think he's referring to the algae. I think he's referring to the white things.

They could be hydroids but I'm not certain.

Sorry just woke up. Still had goop in my eyes.
I would guess snail eggs from the size, color and pattern they are on the glass, but they do seem to have little tentacles in the pics like a hydroid as Jenn said.
Do they have tentacles when you look at them up close?

I was gonna say, Smoothie...I said nevermind the green! :) It's right by my Vortech, so it's hard to clean on a regular basis. Yes, I'm referring to the white thing, Jenn. Hard to see if they have actual tentacles, but they seem to have a "skirt" of something around them. Hydroids= good, bad, no matter?

I had those same things on my tank glass. Now I have a bunch of baby snails.

Hydroids = not good. IF that's what they are - I'm still not sure.

If they look like little tiny spiders, chances are they are hydroids. They will colonize someplace eventually.
