Found this very large hitchhiking snail of which I've never seen before.
The mystery of this beast dates back a few months ago. After a extended three week business trip I spotted it thinking at the time it was a Turbo Snail and a very large one at that.... Except I've never put a turbo in this tank. During that time I had a maintence man over and thought he possibly for what ever reason gave it to me. After that initial spotting I proceeded to give everything else the once over and thought nothing of it that night. The next day I asked the maintence guy about it to which he laughed and said no, it wasn't him. Due to it being a Turbo I kinda chuckled but really never did look into it further until tonight when I spotted him again, at night.
Based on the total disappearance during the day and the spottings at night I take it for being nocturnal. After closer examination it appears to have a truck like snout with two eyes. Actually the best way to describe it is a Hybrid Turbo due to the size and shape of the shell and a Stomatella due to it's snout and eyes.
Any ideas?
