This critter came attached to a frag. Is it a Vermetid Snail?

Yeah I can't really even tell what to look at. Picture may need to be uploaded higher rez via something like photobucket
 
agreed. also try taking a pic under white light. that may make it easier to see and id it
 
Looks like a vermetid snail to me. At least I'm seeing one there above the orange ric in pic2.
 
im looking at it on my computer at work now and the mucus does look like its from a vermitid snail but i still cant make out the body of it. but if i were to bet on it id say vermitid.

Meh too much work and a waste of good epoxy. If you want to get rid of it simply smashing it up works just fine with whatever tool you have handy. The shell is very thin and can be kind of sharp so be cautious in that regard.
 
I think I have one of these. They weren't close enough for the nets to touch but could they have killed my torches if the net got in them? You need to pop the entire thing off if what it's fastened to?
 
I doubt it could kill a torch. It's harmless, just a bit unsightly to some.

I always thought they were kind of cool, I don't kill them.
