The black round thing is very hard and doesn't move. It looks like a feather duster only black. I sure don't like it on my Favia and surly it isn't happy about it either. These are also appearing on the back of my Monti. Nothing new has been introduced to my tank for months.
Thanks

I would be afraid to put glue on that tiny thing being on the Favia but will get the others.

What happens if its broke? Does it multiply a lot faster?

Thanks guys

Do you see long, stringy stuff come out during feeding time? If so, then it is a vermetid snail. Superglue works. Luckily the ones that I have witnessed have never encrusted on a coral face, usually underneath the coral.

No not when I feed my fish in the day. Ill feed corals tonight and check.

Should I remove it from the coral?

Never seen a vermetid snail coming through the tissue of LPS like that before.

I have. It's no biggie, really.

I'd be inclined to leave it, but it's up to the individual.
