ID Please

I'm starting to move rocks over to the 40 breeder this afternoon and I noticed that there are some white conical shaped animals with a feather duster type extremity coming out the top. It is also on on of the astrea snails I have. Does anyone have an idea of what it might be?

If I need to get a pic or two, please let me know thanks.

Thought that. I got two, the first is on the underside of the snail and the second is on the back wall of the tank. Saw it after I started moving the rocks over.

o and to add to it, one of my fire fish has disappeared. I think he may have died and got eaten before I got home, he was there this morning. old age probably. thats the 2nd one in the pic, the smaller of the two

ok, whew, thought I had an infestation. well, I wonder when spongebob will show up with patrick and so on. lol

looking for "pineapple sponge" (w/out quotes) is near impossible. most of what comes back it spongebob crap

i found it, I was worried cause they are in the main chamber of the aquaclear filter and yea. But if they are harmless thats great.
