Looks like Alveopora. Gonis have 24 petals and Alveopora have 12. I think.
I researched the crap out of Goniopora before finally buying one.

Hey how old is your system? I ask bc if it's fairly new I would suggest not running your fuge. BRS did a video on the refugium mistakes.

I started mine way to early and battled having 0 nitrates and 0 phosphates and that led to battling Dinos. Took me about a month and a half to finally get rid of them.

My System has been wet about 35 days. I am running fuge, have 2 clowns...super young, Yellow tang and a Fairy Wrasse. I am feeding fish twice a day, and feeding alveapora with pippet.
My Nitrate is at 1-2 and need to get phosphate test kit.
Temp 79
Alk 8.7
Calcium 425
Magnesium 1330
PH 8.2
Salinity 1.023
Photo Period 10am to 7 pm lights do not go over 50% during ramp
Refugium on from 7pm to 945 am
Feed tank 2x daily.
Have ATO with RODI
5 gallon water change weekly.

FWIW I wouldn't run your fuge right now. You don't want to strip the little bit of nitrates and possible phosphates out to much. And as the cheato grows it's just going to pull more and more out.

I will be adding a fuge to mine soon enough. From what I have read you can keep it there just turn the photo period way way down. Basically just enough to keep it alive just a couple hours not all night

Cheato is easy to come by here on the forum. There is always someone giving it away. So if you do give it away you can always find some more when you are ready for it. I gave like 90% of mine away when I turned my fuge light down to just 3 hours.

Thanks Guys! Patience is not a virtue I possess much of and I am glad to have other reefers to go to!
Yeah I was the same way. I had my fuge rocking from the time I setup my 90gal. The cheato was growing like crazy and thus I was getting undetectable nitrates and phosphates, which I believe lead to my dinos.

Have some lite diatoms on sand bed in one little area but that's about it.
My Fiance and her kids are really into it and it has really added something wonderful to our household. I love the joy it brings!
