ID questions

Over the past few weeks, I've noticed the two things below in my sump area... the first I've also noticed on some of my live rock as well, it looks like a fuzzy tube of some kind with an funnel type opening. I'm thinking the second is a feather duster, but I'm not positive since it's so small. I probably have 100 of these growing in the sump right now.

I thought so too on the first... it would only make sense.

I bought a red tree sponge that I was given incorrect info about and placed it in a low-flow area... needless to say, a branch or two broke off within a few weeks. Right afterwards, I noticed these popping up... litteraly thousands of them. Now that I've moved the sponge to a higher flow area it seems to be doing better.

I've heard you could put a sponge in a blender and throw the contents into a tank and get a bunch of sponges, but I wouldn't want to try it...

Yep. Looks like pineapple sponges and feather dusters

Without a doubt pineapple, or Scypha, sponge...
