Idea for the Zoa tank running.

Ok, So most of you know I am setting up a tank for a couple of clowns who, from what I was told, are a mated pair. They were Nancy's, LDYBKR. Since she was movie out of country and couldn't take them, I decided to take them and that would give me another excuse to set up another tank

So, this tank will be all zoas. A garden of color if you will. But other than the clowns and its gonna be snails for CUC and possibly a few hermits. Though I was thinking some cleaner shrimps rather than the hermits.
Along with the clowns I was thinking of something that wasn't to aggressive or the like.. Want something a little interesting.. I was thinking pipe fish as i always found them interesting. What about the garden eels? Or maybe a school of pearly jawfish...

What do you guys... and gals think?

O by the way, the tank is a 25g acrylic and its 36x12x14"

At 14" deep half of that would be taken up by a proper sandbed for garden eels.
You would need to have it plumbed into a nice size fuge or have the pipefish eating frozen when you buy it.
I wouldn't do a school/shoal of anything. One jawfish would be really nice. Have you thought about any of the flasher wrasses or a firefish to add color and movement?
My tailspot blenny is my favorite fish in my planted and is another great fish to watch

I won't be having a top with this so wrasses won't be such a good idea, I have kept firefish with out tops successfully so that may be an idea. but it would be purple ones not the red one this time lol

If no top, then a wrasse or jawfish is out. Garden eel is out for the sand bed. Pipe fish might have a problem competing for food and are kinda hard to keep anyways without a tank set up for them.

What about a hawkfish? Might not be enough movement (but the clowns are constantly moving) but a flame would add lots of color.

A pair of cardinals would be cool, too.

A hogfish?

Hogfish are as likely to jump as wrasses.

Doesn't have to be an active fish. Just want something else in there just to look good/interesting. This will be in the foyer of the basement which is right outside of my room. So there really won't be much foot traffic but there will be light coming in from the windows and the door that is right there. I like the red head goby.
I like the hawkfish but since i was thinking of cleaner/blood shrimp and snails over hermit crabs and snails as CUC that might not be such a wonderful idea lol

How come I have seen people with garden eels that have like a 2" sandbed?

I'm gonna have a big fuge on this tank, just like I do with my 40 breeder with a scooter, so I don't think feeding will be such a problem.

I was thinking of getting a mandarin for my 40 breeder and taking the scooter to the zoa tank. I like the scooter to much to sell him. has to much personality and i have had him for over a year and rescued him lol he is my little baby
