Looking for stocking idea to add something to my tank. Has to be a “nano” fish, reef and invert safe, and ideally docile. I already have a flaming prawn goby and a candy basslet. Was eye a blue line tamarin but NO ONE has it currently :(

This maybe helpful for you:

I’m not promoting the website since I have not purchased from them. I’ve attached the link as a ”guide only” for Nano fish.

You may consider “tank breed” fish. They seem more docile and more adapt to having more visitors looking from the outside. Tank breed seem to handle stress better than wild caught in my honest opinion.

I’m also searching for a showcase fish for my 40g. Was hoping for something slightly larger than a wrasse/goby/dottyback and a different profile/silhouette. It’ll be a mixed reef and needs to be coral safe.

Open to any/all suggestions!

Fairy wrasses can get fairly large and beautiful. But I think a dwarf angel would be good to if you want a more prominent shape.0CB976A6-D90E-4E0C-B1CB-CB2285B4CDE8.jpeg

I'm a big gramma/basslet fan. Royal Gramma is one of my favorite's and I'd have one in every tank if I had lids. Both the Royal and the black capped are hardy and typically brave fish. I don't know if brave is the right word but I've found that they usually hang out and don't dart for cover every time someone moves anywhere near the tank. I've got wrasses in my display but they spend a frustrating amount of time hiding when anyone is looking at the tank.
