I am struggling with the CBB decision as well. I want one!!!
I have recently upgraded to a larger tank and my fish stocking scheme not only includes one...but he's first! All my current live stock still waits in the 75 until the CBB decision is made.
I have no first hand knowledge, but have done a lot of research and yes...they appear to be difficult to keep primarily because of diet.
Some do eat aptasia, but as previously mentioned, one can quickly wipe out all your aptasia... so this is not a good long term strategy for feeding.
Seems the other secret to success in worms. Black worms to be exact. This
is a natural food for them in the wild and provides them with all the nutrients they need for long term survival. They NEED worms. I have read that the idea that they can be sustained by PE mysis is fine for a while. Maybe even a couple of years. Its like..yeah..we can survive on donuts alone...for a while. But how healthy will we be.
Thats kind of where I am now.
Who has black worms?
Should I harvest my own?
Are they available locally??
Is a CBB worth all of this??
Sorry for chiming...
I also want a PBT
