After being out of the hobby for far too long (due mainly to Military Activations) I'm back... Sort of. I'm still in Iraq and will not be home until June, but when I get home I will become very involved with the club.
After this deployment I will be coming home to work full time for the National Guard, so the chance of me getting deployed again any time soon is very slim, so I figured this would be the perfect time to plan and build my dream tank. This tank is going to be big... very big... and I am going to call on the entire club to help me, as I'm sure I will have a ton of questions. I will start a build thread in the large tank forum soon.
My experience in reefs started a several years ago with a 10g Nano, then I went to a 220g tank and now I have a cup with some sand in it (my new tank will be 1350 gallons).

I look forward to seeing everyone again and being a part of the club.

Thanks
Shane

P.S. Did someone mention group buy on salt??? I only need about 4000 gallons worth...

Welcome back! I just PMed you on TRT about coming over here. I guess you figured it out.

Now that is a BIG tank..

Be safe.

Glad to see you made it on here! I guess the password thing I sent you worked! :)

ya, for some reason Yahoo put you e-mail in Spam... my bad...But I am really glad to be back anyway...lol

I'm going to wait until I have a few more pictures before I start my thread here. Being here in Iraq makes building this thing... well hard so progress is slow to say the least

Well first and foremost thank you for protecting our country! We owe you alot,. so anything you need from me let me know. I know I don't know you but hey!

1350 gallons? WOW! I've NEVER heard of anything like that! That's gonna be incredible! I think we'd all want to help out with that!!

Thanks everybody. I appreciate all the nice remarks.
I live in Alto Georgia which is in Habersham County (north of Gwinnett) and when I get home, I have several things to do. First and foremost I will spend some time with my family. Then I will start my addition (for the tank). Then I will be going to Minnesota to see the tank being built. Then I will install the tank and finish the addition. Then I have to plumb the tank and so on and so on. I figure that if I get done by next summer I'll be happy.
Sometimes it's better to be slow and do things right. But with that said I'm inpatient... LOL and I should have the tank by July... Hopefully I will be at the meeting in July.

Here ya go.

Hey Harleyguy-welcome--and thanks for your service to our country---I think that we should be thankful to our troops whether we agree or disagree with the war in Iraq--with that said-thanks again, and happy reefing-!
