Im done. I tried to DIY LED's but I am electricaly retarded. I simply cant do it. I have fried 2 driver boards and when I tried to hook everything back up tonight, none of the LED's come on and I blew my single driver board. I thought I was smart enough to do this but it appears that I am not. I am actually hurting physically because I am so frushtrated with it. I want to punch a midgit square in the face im so mad.

LED = 1
Tom = -10

LOL about the punch in the face thing, stress and frustration is a silent killer. Hang in there I'm sure someone close by can help you out. Walk away walk away

Jet engine mech...take the lot to the beach and figure it out! You're probably just missing something silly, what is the build like?

The build is in this thread.

I think I may have figured it out. After calming down and getting some fresh air outside, I went back in and started tinkering with it again. I got the LED's to light up finally. I didnt hook up the dimmer knob and I guess it provieds a completed circut to light the LED's.

Your right, it appears it was something simple. Its just been one thing after another with this build.

Dont let it get you down too bad. After the issues I had while setting up my 180, I'm surprised I didnt say uncle and get out of the hobby. Glad I stuck around though.

Can I get on on your build set up. I'm building also but not 100% sure of my heatsink yet. Would be great to get some insight from you and make dure I am going in the right direction.

I am running 1200 wattsmof halid and 800 vho actinic, need to ge rid of all this for the heat factor and power bill

Let me know

Sure, just send me a PM with your questions..... Just know that this is a learning curve for me too and as you can read from the original post, I dont know everything.

way to be bigger than the lights man... i am 5'3"... come see me next time you have an issue :lol2:

lol, I didnt think the midgit thing would have been that popular.

Update.

I got the damaged LED's on one heatsink replaced and get them glued into place and I fired them up and they are all working as advertised. So I am now 50% compelted on the build..... I hope..... I still need to mail the damaged driver StevesLED's so he can repair it for me.
