I'm debating between which ATO to get for me 34g rimless cube. I really like the IM because of its magnetic "float switches" but does it have all the good reviews as the JBJ. Has anyone used the IM ATO?

I can't offer an opinion reguarding the other brands. However, I love runnng my JBJ, it's simple, easy and they way I have mine setup it has two failsafes. Plus the price is very inexpensive.

I usually never do this with brands... but we ABSOLUTELY HATE the IM Hydro Fill top offs. In my opinion one of the worst ones on the market. We pulled every one we had out on the field after many issues with them.

We stick to... Smart ATO Micros, Tunze, or JBJ. With out current favorite by far being the Smart ATO Micros. We use them on everything from Small Biocubes to 200 gallon reef systems.

Smart Micro hands down for me. incredibly simple, very reliable.

I can't use the Smart micro due to the fact that my reservoir is in another room and the pump has to be in it. I use Hydor smart level with the IM Hydrofill Ti Pump, was using tom's aqua lifter but kept having it clog or just break down. But if I could +1 for the Smart Micro

Thanks for all the feedback, I'm going to stay away from the IM ATO. Thinking about getting this Tunze one (http://www.marinedepot.com/Tunze_Osmolator_Nano_3152_Auto_Top_Off_ATO_Auto_Top_Off_Units-Tunze-TZ4114-FIDPAT-vi.html">http://www.marinedepot.com/Tunze_Osmolator_Nano_3152_Auto_Top_Off_ATO_Auto_Top_Off_Units-Tunze-TZ4114-FIDPAT-vi.html</a>).

Its only $100 with pump and has the Tunze name to back it.
