My name is Joshua and my dad introduced me to the hobby about 4 months ago. My dad had a 100g tank that was used for fresh water fish and became unused over time. We finally got the tank up and going and my dad passed everything to me after years of us just using the tank as storage. I feel like i've done a pretty good job so far but like everyone on here i'm trying to get as much knowledge as possible! I'm also on reef central but I recently just founded out about this site! :) I currently have a FOWLR tank, I was rushing into getting fish so I got two Ocellaris Clownfish and one three striped damsel. I should of waited and got some globes (which I have a fish list that i'm going to start getting in the tank soon but i'm waiting to get some good LEDs) My CUC cosset of Banded Coral shrimp, snails, and crabs (I forgot the names of them) Anyways thats just the basic of my tank I could go on & on about it.. Any comments are welcome once again I'm just introducing my self to the forum!

Welcome. You came to the right place. Here, you can ask all the questions you want without worrying about being flamed. Not like some of the other forums from what I have heard.

You need to come to one of the meetings and meet the gang in person. Lots of great people who will soon become friends. :-)

Are you planning a reef tank, mixed, or fish tank? This will help in giving recommendations. I haven't been in the hobby very long either, but I have learned that IMO water quality is number one, next to lighting and flow. What kind of filtration are you using?

Its a FOWLR tank but I plan on having it mixed in the next couple of months. I test my water levels every saturday (pH,Nitrate, ammonia, calcium etc) 2 Maxi-jet 1200 water pump, Canister filter magnum 350 and i'm about to get a protein skimmer as well.

Welcome to the club! This is a great place to learn and ask questions. Hope you enjoy your stay!

welcome to the club i think you're going to like it here. as long as you can take a little crude humor from time to time lol

Welcome to the ARC! You have a bunch of great reefers in your area. Just use the search program and ask questions. We do not always agree on how to do things so you may want several different opinions.:D

For instance, we have argued about the best way to get rid of Ralph and yet here he is still posting. Hehehehehe

Oh come on Ralph. You know I pick on because I like you. :-)
