Research shows it is good for soft stuff, mainly xenia... But most reading suggests that normal weekly water changes supplies all the iodine you need. I have a softy and LPS tank so I dose but I dose in the form of Reef Plus and Reef Trace from Seachem. I think it is safer then Lugals and adds other elements to the tank that seem to make a real difference in my corals. JMHO
