Is anyone dosing potassium?

I started dosing Brightwell Potassion about a week ago but it seems I can’t get the potassium above the 350 ppm range (Salifert test kit). I am dosing 60 ml daily in a 172 gal (net Volume) tank, is it possible the tank is using that much potassium every day?
The tank is fully stock; there is a Tri-color Valida that is about 9 inches wide and about a foot tall along with an assortment of other SPS coral.
I started dosing potassium because the purple’s was not that great and it was mostly at the tips of the Valida.
So I was thinking of doubling the dose, what you guys think?

I dose continuum potassium and add it 2-3x a week (10-15ml in a 65gallon sps dominant). I have tested with red sea test kit and stay around 350-400mg. I don't test much now I just use my purple and blue sps to gage dosing. I would say I would get another test kit and double check your range (if you have not done so) just to double check before upping dosage.

Very true. Most people I have read about tend to keep their K at or a bit below Ca levels in "nsw". I was interested in K dosing a while back and did a lot of reading. If you choose to dose K, most commercial supplements are pretty dilute and it takes a ton to raise levels significantly. Several people started making their own supplement with (believe it or not) potassium supplements for people from the drug store. They crush the tablets and mix with RO water.

I cant remember the exact supplement but a google search should find it for you. I believe even RHF uses this method. Supposedly it is pretty pure and safe. Even fairly high levels didnt have any bad effects. A few dollars worth is enough to dose for years. I haven't tried it as I dont specifically dose just K.
