Is there anyway to test for a bad ballast?

Well, long story short, the hose came off one of my pumps last night and water went every where. A good bit of which landed on the t5 retro which is sitting on two saw horses over our GBTA tote. The white lights went out after that happened. I cleaned the ballast off and it worked for 30 seconds and shut off. I let it sit for about an hour and tried the lights once again. They stayed on for about 5 minutes and finally shut off. They will no longer come back on. Any ideas? I'm really starting to lose motivation once again in this hobby.

In all seriousness - you should have rinsed the disconnected ballasts with RODI water before drying them and trying to fire up again,
The salt residue will now most likely have shortcircuited your ballast, the RODI would have washed that away...

Just my luck. Really starting to get pissed off again.

UPDATE: Came home, decided to hit the light switch and let there be light!!!! Also noticed I had another GBTA. Guess the HUGE water changed caused that! That makes #4. Finally, some good luck going my way.
