i have just set up my 120(finally)and i am going to use 2-250(10k bulbs or 20K)halides and 4 atnic t5 geissman bulbs(54watts each).its a standard 120(48"x24"x24").currently i have mostly soft corals(zoas, kenya and different mushrooms),but also some lps(duncans, sun coral) and a clam.but at sometime in the future i would like to go to some sps.

Yes. Actually that's a LOT of light for everything you have now, which all has minimal requirements (except the clam). You should have no problem growing SPS under that from a lighting perspective.

I am trying to decide on keeping these lights(2 months from new bulbs) or moving on to t5's with 6 or 8 bulbs.
Looking for good growth and great colors at this time,to fill in gaps quickly(relatively speaking )

Edit:

Forgot to mention that I also have 2 Gbta,Rics and a couple different acans

If you can deal with the heat & power costs of the halides, I'd stick with them along with the T5 supplements. That is a great combo and will be fantastic for growth.

I have been using them for over a year now. But I was looking for something that would show off some coloration a little better. Would anyone suggest any bulbs that you recommend(halide and t5)
