My neighbor handed me this last night!

I am going to remove them from the housing later. Havent decided on the config yet but might be able to pull the chiller once these bad boys are up and running. He installed 6 on his 150 and his temp went from 85 to a constant 78.

Each fan is DC12v .45 Amp. What size power supply should I seek out if I want to run 8 of these?

2 things.

You have to make sure you have a plan to take all the moisture out of the air that will evaporate into your house. You will be able to keep the tank cool this way, but I was evaporating 3 gallons a day on my 210 when I used fans to cool it. Not typically a problem in the winter or summer but it will be a problem in the spring and fall when neither the AC nor heat are running.

You need .45 * 8 = 3.6 amps or 44.2 watts

Good point, I do use a large sump fan and have a fan in the canopy now, along with 3 fans inside my light fixture. Ill need a dehumidifier at some point though.

I was looking at Radio Shack online to find a decent power supply.

You think this will work

or do I need something like this?

Micro Center in Marietta has power supplies for these guys for relatively cheap. You may want to check them out. They'll let you know how many you would need.

I forgot about microcenter......my old office was very close to there, used to go all the time.
