JB weld/ epoxy

Is this stuff ok to use around tanks? I'm adding t-5 to my light and want to make sure before hand.

I thought JB Weld had some metals in it, wouldn't want it to rust. Aquamend would be perfect.

I have been using the plumber putty at HD for years. It said safe for drinking water repair right on the label.

It is NOT for use inside the tank. I have a LME MH reflector and I want to attach 2 24in t-5 reflectors together.

If it won't be in contact with water, knock yourself out. No worries in that case.
