JBJ ATOs have a pump timeout?

My JBJ ATO will always stop the pump after a minute or so. I use an Aqualifter, so it fills slowly, and it sometimes doesn't keep up and I come home to a low sump. The sensor light is on but the pump light is off. If I raise and lower the float, it starts again.

Is this something designed in? And most importantly, is there away around it, maybe with a different mode? I'm using a single float switch in the sump.

I don't want to go back to a pump that fills fast enough for me to hear, but if I have to then I guess that's what I'll do.

Thanks in advance.

Yes they do have a time out. Not sure the length, but they will turn off after a relatively short period of time...

I thought the timeout was somewhere around 8 minutes. With no head pressure, an Aqualifter should put just under 1/2 gallon in...

Barry check this link out. It is about increasing the cut off time.

Yeah, I had to adjust mine. Very simple to do.
