Anyone use one of these? Sounds nice with memory backup and all.

Specials on them right now at Marine Depot.

Looked at the reviews...looks like hit and miss.

Garbage IMO.

I bought one and in less than a year it started acting weird. Found out it was the temp probe. Ordered a replacement, only to have that one die within six months.

I scrapped the controller for a Ranco that I was going to use with the titanium heater that came with the JBJ, but I noticed my tank never gets below 76 or above 80, so it's been sitting in the "fish box" for a year.

So, my official opinion is - save yourself some money and buy a Ranco Controller. After researching those, you can't really go wrong with them.

I just came across it while checking their site. Idea is nice, but like you, I don't have much of a swing in temps. I will eventually go with a Reef Keeper or Neptune for monitoring.
Had I read the reviews prior to posting the thread...I might not have posted. Though, I guess for others who might look at it and not check the reviews...but look here. Well, there ya have it folks!

I cuurently have one. However I run my heater through my reefkeeper now. For the one or two months that I used the controller I have no complaints.
