I just ordered a DCP 15,000 last night. Can these be run on a hydros wave engine without a power supply? I wanted a DCP 18,000 but I could only find 15,000 and 20,000 in the DCP and MDP. The MDP seemed to have more issues cracking and complaints with the wifi/app.

I have a ProStar ProClear 230 (180 & 50). Its a single 3/4" for the return that splits at a tee to two output nozzles. Do yall think the DCP 15,000 will be good or should I make the jump to the DCP 20,000? My concern is it can only be dialed back to 30%. That means the lowest it could go is 1585gph minus whatever head pressure. What do yall think?

I’m using an MDP 13000 on a 120 Gallon. Single return and splits into two outlets, same setup as yours. I’m running it 50watts and it can go to 95watts so running at about 53%.

So I think a 15000 would be good for a 180 gallon. and you wouldn’t have to run it below 30%.
