Jebao down!

Cleaning program is really very simple. I remove one unit....just the head and not the bracket from the tank. I soak it in a warm water for about 15 minutes. I do not use vinegar! The reason that I do not is because I don't know what kind of epoxy was used on the motor winding. I have found vinegar is the demise of most Koralias because the epoxy can't withstand the acidity of the vinegar.

I then completely disassemble the cage and remove the impeller...allowing both to continue soaking. Then I simply use a small head, stiff brush like an old toothbrush or a parts cleaning brush (found at Harbor Freight) to clean the parts. I spray them off well, allow to dry and re-assemble.

The key is making sure that the pit where the impeller magnet sits is clean. Another key is to make sure that all the cage vents are clean of any obstructions.
