I'm no expert but I think you can control the speed/output of the pumps and lower voltage means less chances of getting shocked.

Following. I want to get rid off this parasitic mag 18. Oh and Roberto @ reef angel has already confirmed that the jabao wp harness is the same. So those of us with reef angel or apex get full control

So here's what I know so far:

- They are the DC6000/9000/12000 pumps.
- All operate on 24v.
- 6000 = 40w 6000L 3.6m max head
- 9000 = 70w 9000L 4.3m max head
-12000 = 85w 12000L 4.8m max head
- 6 speed adjustments, with feed mode
- No copper elements on the inside of the pump. 65% more efficient.
- No water flow protection...if pumps senses no water, it will auto shut off

Pretty nice looking pumps. I'll see about getting a price.

Me too for the 12000 pending price. Just did a water change and had to cycle my pump a few times to get it to run

OK... so tell me why I need to get rid of my Reeflo Dart and go this route. Benefits and down side please.

Main benefit is typically lower power consumption coupled with the built in run-dry safety. The con is that I don't believe they have the push that an AC pump has. As noted, the largest pump can only push 4.8m (15.7 ft) of head and we have no idea what the drop off curve looks like.

Ok....pricing is in! Mind you this is the base price of just the pump:

DC6000 $54.00
DC9000 $59.00
DC12000 $65.00

I would suspect that shipping will be around 12.00 per unit as the minimum order is 24 units. Based on the WP40s, I'd say there is 8 units per carton and each carton ships for $100.


Also just did the conversions for gph. 3000L=792.52gph; 6000L=1,585gph; 12000L=3170gph

Anybody know how that pricing compares to the other DC pumps on the market?

For ~$100 I am in for a 12000
