Jebo WP40 Powerhead - anyone using it?

Just saw that the thread was deleted. lol was told to start a thread about a possible group buy and it gets deleted. Makes perfect sense.

Edit:

Also looks like someone is working on making the controls identical to the Vortech MP40. I guess they are attempting to make it controllable similar to the vortech's without having to use a reefangel or reefkeeper controller. I guess...

I contacted Jebao directly about purchasing from them:

<span style="color: Indigo">"The price for WP-40 is around $35, please advise your zip code or address so we can check
the freight price to you ,thanks!"</span></em>

Waiting for shipping costs.

Whoa! $35? Is that correct?

That is what the email reads, and it is direct from Jebro. Waiting on shipping details.

For that price + shipping I may have to try one .

At that price ill take 2! Let wait till they slap the shipping charges on though!

On a side note I checked the site myself and looked at the Customer Service section and this is what I found.

Your present position is:Customer Service
Customer Service

Thats it!
Something I found funny but not really!

Yeah... their website is incomplete. Make the decision before purchasing these that: there may not be any customer support, may not be a warranty, and no returns.

Im in for 1 maybe 2 depending on shipping

It was deleted (not by me) for not having pricing posted. As was mentioned earlier, one of the requirements for an unofficial group buy was that the pricing much be posted in the thread along with several other details.

ddaddy,

I suggest you post the pricing from FS in the various tiers and, post their shipping. I believe (keep me honest Rich), that the price can be updated if we are able to get a better price. But, in both cases you will need to post where the item is coming from.

Also, I suggest no money be collected until you know the number of units to purchase. This way you can post the final price and start collecting funds. You will have others join in at that time, but hopefully not move the price from one tier to another.

The key is to be very transparent with the membership about what they are getting, what it will cost, and where it's coming from.

In-the-mean time I'll work on better pricing... but that's a conversation best held in the UGB thread. Jebao did tell me the WP25 was not yet available, so we would be looking at WP40s.

Perfect. Thanks Larry.

Sounds good guys,

I'd be interested in picking up one or two, I'll wait to see how things get organized for the Group Buy and sign up then.

Mod comments: Please start a group buy thread when you have all of the appropriate information and follow the rules. Members can place their interest there. Thank you</em>

You can control the voltage of these pumps with a manual controller like this one. Meaning you can turn them all the way down and put them in smaller tanks.

From RC:

The dimmer connectors fit with the pump controller and the original power supply. I was able to ramp them from off to what I would assume would be 24v.
You can buy one of them for about $5 off ebay from a US shipper. From China, they are about $3-4."

To search for them type in DC:5-24V/4A (Max) Controller
If anyone has any question on this I would go to the RC thread and read all about it. The link is on the first post in this Thread.

Yeah but it is not recommended to run them all the way down to 0 volts. The recommended voltage for these is 12-24V. If you use that dimmer, mark the 12V location on the dimmer.
