Jeff's Marineland 93 Cube build

Looks really nice so far Jeff. My 100 gallon cube is 30 x 30, and even then I have to place my CO2 canister, ATO reservoir, and my chiller on the other side of the wall behind the tank.

That is the reason I'm planning on having the portion under my tank to be 30"x48". I want enough room to have all the stuff I want under there. I'm planning on having a cabinet area behind the tank for storage.

Keep the progress pics coming!

Thanks Dave! It's getting there.

I wish I'd had room to put a bigger cabinet but alas.....it's just isn't to be so I had to work within the confines that I have. I still have room left inside for another reactor but not sure I could get a Calcium Reactor in there even without the bottle. Chiller would be a different story. No room at all for one unless I were to put it outside. The tank sits on an outside wall. Now there's a thought....hhhmmmm....put a little shed on the outside wall, put bushes around it, nobody would know. So far, haven't needed a chiller although on some days I've seen temps of 84 degrees but oddly enough, nothing seemed to mind it. I think once the canopy is complete with the 4 fan unit I'm putting on it, that will aid some of the heat issues. It doesn't hit that high until the twin 250 MHs come on.

In the tank or in the sump? In either case, I'm not 100% sure. I just added rock to the one sump until it was full so whatever a 12g sump can hold (guessing about 20lbs). In the tank...probably close to 80 lbs at the moment.

what are you talking about ? (your skillz)

that cabinet/canopy look great.. you should be very proud of it..

Thanks and I am. I have limited tools so it's not a Grouper Therapy quality but it suits me just fine.

More pics to come. Almost finished with the canopy!

honestly, unless you're staining the wood work.. it's not imperative that everything fit together perfectly. paint can hide imperfections (in both workmanship and materials)..

seriously, it looks fantastic..

Ok...here's the final run. Canopy is completed. First pic shows the whole setup from across the room. I didn't catch much of the wall but it's made to look like the wall in the rest of the room. You'll noticea gap in the front crown....must've missed with the nail gun so had to go back and fix that.

The second pic is front view with only T5's on.
Third is a view from the left side with only T5'son.

Fourth is front view with all lights on.
Fifth is left side view with all lights on.

THANKS! I'm sure I'll be adding more to it. For now, all the exterior and equipment is complete. Now just have to build up coraline, get rid of the green algae (working that with Tech M now) and get some corals to grow out and I'm all set!
