I'm about to try out some Joe's Juice for nuisance 'nems and was wondering if anyone had used this on Xenia. If so, was it injected directly into the stalk, or can you just place it somewhere on the specimen?

Also, I know I'm going to need to do a number of water changes as I get rid of the 'nems and Xenia, but about how many specimens should I kill between changes? It's a 20 gallon system and I bet if I killed all of them it'd crash my system, not only because of the amount of Joe's Juice I'd have to use, but also because of the bio-load.

Any advice is much appreciated!

Joe's Juice is nothing more than Kalkwasser paste. Unless you've got a gazillion in the tank, it probably won't make a bit of difference if you kill only part or if yo ukill all. As far as using on Xenia....I've not personally (always taken mine to the LFS for credits) but I've heard of other members using it for that and it works. I'm sure somebody with more experience than I will chime in here shortly.

i have used it on xenia and i directed it into the stalk and it seemed to work very well. You could always frag the xenia and give it away to some other members. i wouldn't mind having some if you decide to go that route.
