I’ve read all kinds of reviews about Joe’s Juice and how it pertains to aptasia control. Long story short I purchased a bottle a few weeks ago for the 6-10 apatsia stalks I could see on my rocks sand and in my sump. Last night I tried it just like the directions said and within 2-3 hours even my largest stalk no longer existed. Looking at the rocks I couldn’t even tell you where they were.

This stuff work great and upon the first drop of this stuff getting in the aptasia I could see it’s effect immediately. It looks wet in the container but when it’s in the tank it looks almost like baby powder.

People say that more will come back ect. All I can say is they might because of spores already in the tank but as far as the these coming back there is absolutely no way because there is nothing left. Zilch, nada, nothing. This stuff is like a acid that is ingested into the animal through its mouth. It appeared to break it down almost exactly like the wicked witch of the west in the film the wizard of oz when the water hit her. With this stuff if it can be reached, it can be killed. I have enough of the product left for well over 100 should a new one pop up. For about 7 bucks you can’t beat it.

You can make your own Joe's Juice out of pickling lime at the grocery store or use kalkwasser and make a paste out of it. Basically, all the same stuff.

You cannot beat the price of Joe's Juice! I had my first aptasia show up a few weeks ago, and I went the peppermint shrimp route. The shrimp ended up killing the apthasia rather quickly, however the shrimp themselves cost alot more than 7 dollars

But you keep your hands dry. I think you can get a pair for $8-10. That to me is worth the extra money, not having to get towels and stuff ready if I saw one.

Lol, no doubt! I have 4 shrimp, and I will let them do the work killing the aptasia... I have my hands in the tank all the time as it is!
