I was cleaning my skimmer today as well and snapped the pump impeller. I guess it wasn't a good day to do skimmer maintenance. I was able to superglue it back together and it seems to work just fine. Try gluing it. All you've got to do is seal it up so glue or epoxy should work. It may not look that great but it should get the job done.

You have to order weldon as far as I know I've never found it local. I tried sears once because I saw they sold it online but when I went I.to the store they did not have any and looked at me like I had lost my mind

I got some but you are far away. The good thing about weldon is that it would be more then just a temp fix. Maybe a fellow reefer around you has it. Otherwise you can get it online.

I'm a little closer than haninja and have Weldon. Will be glad to make the repair if you bring along your skimmer cup.

Add me to the list of people with weldon willing to help. Looks like i'm pretty close too. Let me know. :lol2:

I just wanted to thank mufret for his help with fixing my skimmer cup, unfortunately we missed a spot and still a small leak, very small. I called creations reef to order a new pump impeller and told them what had happened they said bring it by and we’ll add a bit more. I believe it is now fixed. Oh yea superglue gel did not work on acrylic.

more specifically... weldon 16... (numbers are different)

you can get it at Calsak in Duluth

I used superglue on a powerhead impeller yesterday... worked great..

There's an adhesive at Home Depot in the glue section that's alot like Weld-on...can't remember the name right now:confused2: I used it to fix mine.
