Bums me out big time. I came home and couldn't find the smaller clown of my pair (still very young around 10 months now). Started checking the first and third chamber because the second has the trickle gaurd still on it. I use it to lay a filter sock across, there is a very small hole for a heater cord to come out of so I just check thinking there was no way it would be in there. There he was on top of the filter floss, he is still alive but he looks ROUGH, I put him back in the DT and he swam to the wall and has just been hovering.

Any miracle cures out there or just cross my fingers at this point?

Well, he is doing good but now the problem is the smaller one is now attacking this one (it is the bigger of the two). So I don't know if maybe the struggle for male/female is over or if they are just going to refuse to ever pair. I think at this point it will pull through, but it will definitely be battle scarred after this.

As soon as I found it I took some extra black plexi I have and built a guard that runs the length of the BC to stop fish from being able to jump, so either way it wont happen again.

they make "fishsavers" for the biocube 14 and 29 to prevent the fish from being able to jump back there...the HQI versions have them built in...u can also build a mesh top ..ive built one for my 14 and my 29..they r easy...theres a link somewhere around here for a DIY from Acro

can I post a link to a non-sponsor?
but if you google "biocube 29 fish saver guard" there is one you can get from a great small hobbyist run company. I have one and it works well. I also have the media basket and fuge inserts for chamber 2, im a BIG fan.

i dont think they care if u post a link as long as its not just blatant marketing attempts...this is just to help someone out...
