Hello everyone I just setup a 40 gallon tank and I pretty new about saltwater so I hope y'all could help me with my tank

Edit: I want to buy some coral to put in my tank, something that cheap to start out with

Green star polyp (GSP)
Leathers
Mushroom
Kenya Tree (but grows and spreads quickly...I like it, you can have a nice specimen from my tank for free, it's attached to a nice piec of coral skelaton).
Other members will have some advice.
And are sponsors are great! They will lead you in th eright direction.

Good luck and go slow!

What type of lights do you have? sump filter or canister ? The big thing with salt tanks is to take your time. I'm assuming you have some sand and live rock? (thats a start :) ) Put all that in your tank and wait a month or so for the tank to cure. Bring your water to a store to test and when it is good, then add things. Your tank is small, so you have to be very carful as to how much you add at one time.

Best thing to do when your ready is to add something cheap to make sure your tank won't kill everything. Cheap fish is a damsel. (4 to 6 bucks?)
Cheap clean-up-crew invert - red or blue leg hermit crab or some snails.
