hey ppls.. just wanted to say hi. I'm new to ARC. Live in NE Alabama, but ARC is closest reef club around.

run a 120 mixed reef atm.. bells, whistles, all the cool jazz.

Anyway I look forward to chatting it up with fellow addicts!

thanks.. i guess its rimless.. ive had it up and running about 8 mos now.. its an acrylic tank made by the guys out at MRC close to Atlanta.

Fish wise.... im pretty light.. 4 chromis.. 1 yellow tang.. one monster clown i call Guido.

Coral wise... gee... Theres a lot of stuff in there. I guess the notables would be several nice ora frags.. a big hammer, and what i would consider a large pagoda (You can actually see it in the picture on the left front of the tank)

I run a Aquactinics Constellation over this tank.. and am SOOO happy with t5. everything loves it.. maxima.. sps.. u name it.

really the only issue i'm having right now is that im battling a cyanobacteria infection. MAN this stuff is TOUGH to get rid of.

Thanks for the compliments on the thank btw I'll post some better coral pics when my lights come back on in 2 days haha (remember fighting cyano)

hmmm .. i wish. there is a decent store about 40 mins from here, but absolutely NOTHING for corals.

i get my corals from other enthusiasts It's cheaper, you get what you want, they are a pleasure to deal with, and the corals are GENERALLY in better shape.

to most of the ppl here.. a reefer is someone who smokes pot. I live in a pretty rural area. We just got a Wendy's!!!

If there are other reef keepers out here.. I haven't met them yet.

Welcome! Wow, it's a good looking tank. Probably the closest sponsor in GA would be All Things Aquatic, which is in Rockmart. Check out the sponsors forum. You can even put together a LFS crawl if you decide to drive down the west side!

Welcome nice tank...How many bulbs is that t5 setup as you have most of your corals from mid to lower half of tank...Nice to see another T5 user

Thats an aquactinics constellation fixture. It runs 7x58w T5s. All with individual reflectors, with a couple of rather large cooling fans built in on the endcap areas. I'm also running lamps that output a lot of usable PAR. From front to back i have:
ATI Blue Plus
UVL 75/25
ATI Blue Plus
GE 6500K
ATI Blue Plus
UVL Actinic White
ATI Blue Plus

I've been running that lamp configuration for almost a year and have very good sps growth. Problem is some of my softies have had difficulty adjusting, but they are coming back around.
