Hey guys! My Koralia4 is causing my GFCI to trip. Does this mean that it's kicked the bucket and has an electrical leak? The propeller is spinning and shooting out waves but it's 5 years old.

Can this be fixed or is it time for another?

Time for another, I'd say. To make a repair would mean opening the guts, and the electrical insulation (that keeps voltage inside) would be compromised.

Well if you can put your hand in the tank and not get a "ZAP" then at least it's not leaking back to the tank. Generally speaking though, a GFCI trips because somewhere it's going to ground so you've gotten your monies worth out of it. Replace it!

Get another one Chau, but also check the extension cord/outlet/surge protector if ti's plugged into 1 of these. I had the same problem a while back and found out that the surge protector had salt creep and it was causing all kinds of problems.

Ok. Thanks guys. Felix, I will double check the cords just in case for salt creep-good idea. Poor K4. I actually like the older version compared to the newer ones.
