Kick-Ich is it safe for a reef tank too?

this was one of the links I posted above. you need to know the cycle of the parasite as it falls off the fish to begin another cycle.

Ralph, I understand the manufacturer gave you instructions, but we need to take this with a grain iof salt. It is, afterall, the manufacturer that is providing this info. The manufacturer of the Eco-Aqualizer claim it eliminates the need for water changes.

IS it true because the manufacturer states it?

I dont understand why they have an "accelerated dose". If this dosage is just as safe, with better effects, why bother with the "normal" dose? FWIW, the principle of "interrupting" the free swimming stage, is the exact principle of the hot peeper sauce based meds that are also on the market.

Sorry to be such a pessismist, but I dont understand what the profound confidence in this product is coming from. As I mentioned, I am curious, more than anything.

No, I agree it's not true because the owner states it. It is a class of anti-protazoan comparable to metro. It was actually used in cases where metro was found to be non-effective due to immunity. I can just say that it worked for me, that that are much better more proven methods out there that Kick-Ich, and I was just trying to answer your question that you asked. The chances of all my fish (different species) recovery at the same time (and some were near death), just points me to state it worked. So be it. We will just disagree. No big deal. I would venture to guess that as knowlegdable as you are with fish, that your methods on curing ich are much more likely to cure than Kick-Ich. If someone asks, then I will offer my experience with this product. Would I recommend it? No.
