So, I'm thinking of raising my own photoplankton and such for my sps corals.

what are the pros and cons of doing such a thing.

from my limited research it looks really simple and fairly cheap.

anyone have experience?

thanks

unless you are using a low nutrient system like VSV, your corals get more than enough food as long as you have a fish or two. Phyto with help your pods, not so much corals, if at all.

I used to grow phyto but I gave up, sounds easy but it becomes a pain fast.

go buy 1 quart of instant algae, freeze most of it in small containers and it will last you several months.
That's if you decide it's good for your corals ...
