Does anyone out there in Cyber-Space have experience with this controller?

I'm interested in getting one, but would like to here some reviews first. I'm currently trolling the interwebs too!

I've read the thing about it spinning backwards as well... Do you know if this is this still the case for the Evolution models?

Also, what about that annoying clicking noise??? I've never heard a click when unplugging or plugging them back in with the Evolution models. Can you confirm or deny whether or not this is the case?

you need to use the EVO pumps with the controller.

The evos don't chatter. The old ones do. If you have the old ones, you will burn them up pretty quickly if you're switching regularly. And they will run backwards.

Reviews online of the controller are very favorable. I would buy one without hesitation, but I have an apex with enough outlets =)

agreed.. .my Evo 1400 never goes backwards.. I have a non-evo that does go backwards from time to time.. a quick unplug always fixes the problem.. and if you are using the wavemaker then most likely the powerhead will shut off every 5 seconds... so if it does turn on backwards it would be able to reset itself... i would only worry of a fish getting sucked into the powerhead if it permamently ran backwards.

I have the controller as well as EVO 1050 ~700 ~400 and I really like it. Like everyone else I agree, the faceplates on these evos are garbage and if you run your controller on less than 1 minute intervals for like 2 months you'll be lucky. I had them send me a set and luckily their customer service is so great they sent me like 2 extra sets lol. I like using the first setting for most of the day and really only use the second setting if I want to thrash my corals and get the food kicked up.
