OK guys, im moving from a total volume system of 230 to prob an estimated 500. ( display tank is 250) I am looking to spend perhaps around 600 at the moment but could go more pending what i sell to make the transfer happen. I currently have a mr2 and i know this will definitely not keep up so let me know any suggestions or sites or what you think the best bang for buck is. I know ill keep my eyes open to see if i can find a great deal on a used one but majority are for smaller systems. Thanks for the input...

That should do the trick right there. It's a little more then 600 but you said you can go a little more right? That skimmer is rated for a 1000g tank. :wow2:

I think so far from what I can find, this one is the best bang for your buck. Some others I've seen of course like the bubble king are a lot nicer but they cost more and have less rating for tank volume. I don't think theres another skimmer that is rated for a 1000g tank for that price. Of course I could be wrong and someone else may chime in.

Geoff:

I still have this skimmer for sale, and at this point, am willing to really come down off the price:
