Leaking 600 gallon display suggestions.

I always renew my used tanks that I have sold and purchased making them look( and function) brand new. Leaking tanks are easily fixed. |
It is very easy.
Razor all the old stuff off in the area. Mask the area along the seam at the proper distance
Apply silicone very liberally. (3m silicone food grade cartridge) Smooth out with a wet finger. Dont worry about tapering the egdes so much. Pull off masking tape before it skins over for a nice clean line.

I hope the stand was not the cause. Ouch

I had a time my 100g cube tank looked so clear. I tapped on the the glass only to hear a hollow sound. EMPTY!
Everything made it though.

Its Very easy to repair. I have renewed many purchased and sold tanks. I do this for looks.

Razor off the silicone. Silicone sticks to silicone and glass
Mask the seam to proper width.
Use a 3M food grade silicone cartridge.
Apply very liberally.
Contour and blend using a wet finger. Keep the edge a little thicker in none visible areas
Carefully pull tape off before the silicone skins for a perfect line.

I hope you dont have any structural support issues. OUCH

2 questions and thanks to all who have offered advice. Can I check the level with the tank on the stand? 2 I have all the fish and rock in a big pool the kind with a blow up ring around the top in my garage. There are a couple of korilia 8s and mag drives for circulation and I have seen all fish except my chromis and midas blenny. I am having an issue when I try to feed the food is getting blown around untill it is in an obscure place like under a rock and the fish don't find it to eat it. There is a descent amount of flow how do I keep the food where the fish can find it? They all hide when I approach and by the time they come back out food has blown away. I normally feed some flake, table shrimp/scallops, mysis and some pellets.

You may have to unplug one or two of the pumps feed then turn back on bro.

Lol that 2nd one was too easy huh? I feel smart now. Ok how about checking the stand for being level with the tank on it, and if that is not teh issue what else could be a cause for a leak?

Though, the tank just sprung a leak because of shotty workmanship.
I think the suggestion was to check the structural integrity under load (full off water).Ideally you need to get a straight edge as long as the tank and check for sag or gaps at the end. a lazer level would work. Take some picture of the stand and post them. where did you get the stand from? What floor system is the tank sitting on, a slab or floor joists?
You should several people put put an eyeball on the situation. Get the tank in the garage, order the 3M food grade silicone. I work in marietta and could stop by just after 4pm. Evaluate before you start cleaning the silicone off. Someone may want to check it full off water. The repair might get stressed again otherwise.
