It so, it's just shedding. That's a good thing!

It not like a slime but more like smoke not sure how to explain it I tried to take pic's but it dont show up.

when did you see the smoke? Is it when the pumps turn on, or during the day?

No. It's BREEDING. Congrats. It's just like when other corals (LPS, SPS). They release sperm and egg into the water column in clouds. Pretty common just unusual to see.

I guess this means I can be expecting to see little leathers. Or do you have to have two in there to start with?

breeding. that the first I heard of it. I thought it just frag that all. Never knew they Breed.

Yeah normally it's pretty rare to see in hobby tanks because in the wild it's based on Lunar cycles and water temps, which our tanks stay very constant. The water gets completely cloudy with all of these corals spawning. It's pretty much something off of the spice channel.

You wont be seeing any "baby" corals because you were probably just seeing the release of sperm. There needs to be the release of eggs into the water as well. Also they just turn into plankton which normally gets sucked into the filters or eaten. But the good news is it means your tank is pretty healthy.

Well I guess that is a good thing about the water I am always worried about it. But it is sad to say that I wont see any babies. But glad that it feels like it could make babies.
