What 2 led modules would cover my 90, 48"/18"/24".It is for SPS corals. I hope I dont open a can of worms by asking this, would 2 AI sol s work.

I have 2 air on a 36" tank and its not enuf light for the hole tank if its a rock wall you could center them but you will see the spots they miss . I have a center rock wall for swimming space about 3" from the tank walls lps are fine there by the glass but not the sps a third one would light the hole tank though.
Best way to git speed through the hole tank for the price of 2 ai's is to diy you can try rapidled they have solderless kits that are plug and play you can dim them but you won't have ai's controler that can be a good and bad thing

LOL, I was hoping you would post.Reason being, you would tell me how it is. Its time for new bulbs in my ATI sunpower, just thinking every 10 months $$ on bulbs.

Vertex or radion.

And AI are not bad for the price. They are on the lower end. Quality is related to price

Help me out here the vertex cost 3100 for 4 ft light that's the price of 6 ai units just did not seam worth it maybe if it put out the light a 1000 watt raidum then it would be worth it 6 ai would light a 300dd you would near a nother 2000 to do that with the vertex

If price is a concern, AI is probably the best bang for ur buck. But u would need about 3-4 for a 4ft tank.

Wow, I thought the can was being opened.LOL Money is an issue, but also how it looks over the tank.I would like only 2 modues. Dose anyone use Maxpect MZ-po1. Can get 2 for 1100. Not that I want to spend that much, but if I got to, so be it.

Well, considering that my usable area for corals due to having an internal overflow is the exact dimensions you are working with, I can honestly just tell you to revert to my previous posts. Growth has improved with a third unit added but still doesn't get optimal coverage in all parts of the tank. (So improved growth is in relation to location) I am using all 70* optics at the moment. It's obvious to me that I will have to revert back to using stock optics and raise the lights to try for better coverage without compromising PAR.

I've yet to weigh in lately on the issue due to the fact that I cannot produce a definitive opinion or results with the third unit added. My gut tells me four units are ideal for someone like myself who wants the freedom to grow SPS from one end of the tank to the other.

I am currently using reeftech led lighting. I have a 120 that is 4' long and only have two units. Coverage is more than enough and the lights have done a great job growing anything I put in the tank. They are 180 watts each and I am running the whites at 25 % blues at 65% and royal blue at 85%. Love my LEDs. Check out the site at
a>. Pure Reef sells them.
