LED Moonlights?

so i got a light from a friend and it has moonlights on it that do not turn off... and i guess the real question is are they good or bad, harmful or not to my reef light cycle?

There is some debate that corals need periods of total darkness. Your moonlights may not turn off, but do they have their own plug? Could always put that plug on a timer and be set. Generally moonlights are just used for our viewing pleasure.


Oh, and white moonlights FTMFW!

If the led's don't have their own plug they do have a looooong life and will not harm anything

IMO I don't think they will harm anything. I have mine on all day and night and my coral don't mind at all.
