Well I took the led plunge and ordered a 350 Kessil for my 70 gallon shallow mixed reef. BRS had 15% off so I bit.

another for sale thread in 6 months !:)

joking.

kinda haha

good luck man! I've been wanting a few for supplemental lighting

Definitely keep us posted Dave. I have used AIs and Radions, but Kessils are an unknown to me.

We will see, this a predominantly lps and softie so maybe they will suffice. It was hard to hit that confirm payment with a brand new halide in the basement.

you deserve it! hahaha....yes! the self punishment is deserved and earned as justification of all the evil that you have done to all in life!

No doubt I figured that was the worst case scenario a high dollar moonlight :-)

I have used AI's and Radions. (I was impressed with neither and some of you may have read a rant i had.) I saw the Kessils at Macna this year and had to try the new a360w. This has definitely got me very optimistic. It literally has better pop and shimmer than my halides. I would be willing to try a full conversion to these if my tank wasn't so dang happy with the MH/LED combo already. I will likely change things up with the next build trying MH as the supplement and let the kessils be the workhorse.

I'm trying to figure out how to work in my kessil 150 in with my 400w Radium over a 24x24" tank. Its a 16x16" pendant (Lumenbright mini) and I'm mostly worried about it getting too hot if it is underneath the radium. I might just have to put away the kessil until I get the shallow 30 up and running in 6 months or so.. Gotta have the MH for my clam and future clams.. Boy that kessil sure shimmers though

At least mine is self inflicted , you receive yours from your gene pool!:lol2::D

You'll probably need two depending on the length of your tank from my experience. You'll love the shimmer

??

You should be fine if you aren't growing any branching corals. Didn't see where you had posted your size earlier.

Cool I thought I had missed something. How long have you had yours?

I run 3 a350n on my 220. Don't keep to much sps though. What I do keep us alive and growing.

Thanks for the input! Do you have any brain corals and /or chalice? How is the color saturation?

Color is good. Lights come on at 2 I'll post some brains, acans, and chalice. I'll white balance only to get what I actually see represented in the pics
