I have a 300w Eshine fixture, and a few bulbs have blown. I have a ballast issue, I'm guessing, as well, but the ballasts don't have any labeling on them, so Idk what to replace them with. The fixture is 50/50 but there is only 1 power plug, that powers both white and blues. My original plan was to just replace a ballast, and ignore the burnt out bulbs, but since I don't know which ballast to purchase, I figured I would get a pro to help with the ballast, replace the bulbs, and add an extra power plug to the fixture as well.

Anyone here do LED repair, or know of a place that does?

Thanks

I can probably help you out.

Is it one of these?

The ballasts are called drivers, but it amounts to the same thing...

There's a 3 year warranty on the Fixture. After the first year however you'll need to pay for shipping from China. It's real easy to issue the warranty info. All you need to do is go to Eshine web site and submit the warranty information, such as serial number, model number and a exact detail of your problem. I would also send photos of the seal on the fixture and photo's of the leds that are out if it even comes on and lights up.

They will contact and possibly ask for more information and once they figure out what they think it is, they'll send you the parts. Shipping ranges from $30-$50 and it's worth.

I recently submitted my claim and got the parts and the unit is like brand new.

Yeah, that's usually a better option if it's still under warranty.

Mine was bought used, and has broken seals . Bummer.

Mine does look like the link you posted, GiulianoM, but my fixture is 100 3w bulbs.

So how many of the LEDs are burnt out?

With 100 x 3W LEDs, usually the way these things are wired is in 4 strings of 12-13 LEDs each:

12 Whites, 1st string
13 Whites, 2nd string
12 Blues, 3rd string
13 Blues, 4th string

When one of the LEDs in a string burns out, it can prevent the rest of the LEDs in that string from lighting up.

Are you going to be at the meeting on Saturday the 8th?

Bring it along, and I'll take it back with me and see what I can do.

The problem usually is that one or more of the LEDs chips is bad, or less likely that the driver is bad.

I will not be able to make it to the meeting, but I do believe that the burnt out bulbs are a single strip of whites. I didn't get a chance to look at the fixture last night, to see how many bulbs were burnt out, but I will when I get home tonight. Thanks, and I'll PM you to try and find a good time to get together.

If it's a single strip, it may just be one LED in the string.

Send me a PM and we'll work it out.
