LED Strips for actinic

I am looking for some lights to use to supplement my 250 MH. I was looking at ecoxotic strips but just seems like a bit much to pay for something that is just being used for the look. I was thinking maybe four of these ..

Maybe build them into a box and mount them along side of my pendant. I would just need to figure out how to wire four of them together and to a power supply. Any pointers?

I know the ecoxotic strips get expensive, but depending on the depth of your tank, those LEDs might not cut it. I know Jcsumarine bought some sweet LEDstrips on amazon for cheap just for actinic and said they got washed out pretty bad by his mH lighting.
