Less green; seem to be whitening

These are close to two years old and have split at least once. They appear to be losing their green hue. Parameters are excellent and bulbs were replaced in December 2010 (after one year) with original equipment. Any ideas? Thank you.

Edit: From what I have read, it could be too much light and thereforefore bleaching. Although, they have split at least once if not twice in the last two years.
 
ive had several varieties of those as well and for whatever reason the blue/green ones always melt on me too..im not sure why...they are right beside other varieties as well
 
They remain fully open and do not look like they are dying, but maybe they bleach-out before they die. Thank you.
