I've seen people taking in pieces to local shops. I'd love to hear experiences. Is it like gamestop where you get more credit than cash? What percent of their retail value are you getting? Certain things they won't take or are leary about? Should I frag first? So many questions...

I would talk to the owner of your LFS. I normally just trade for other livestock i am interested in

I bring in bigger pieces so the store can divide/ frag as needed. I also build a good amount of rapport before asking about it. Have tank pictures and know your pests to the best of you ability.

Usually, more store credit than cash, as expected. At most, expect 1/3rd of the sale value. Especially for larger quantities, stores will ask for a much bigger discount.
