Lighting 150w vs. 250

So tomorrow I will be picking up my new tank and 250watt MH pendent and starting a build thread very soon.
So my question is if I didn't use the 250 would a 150 be strong enough for soft corals in a 60 gallon cube?

60 cube is 24" deep... if you want to keep any SPS, I'd say 250w without a doubt, but if you are really only going to keep softies the 150 would be OK.

Ok, I just wanted to make sure cause I obviously don't want to kill any of my corals.
