It's time for me to replace my bulbs in my fixture. The 93 is 30 inches across, so it is a tough fit for lighting something that deep. I went with a 36 inch MH 2X150. I really don't like the way it looks and it generates a lot of heat in the summer, but at the time I thought it was the best fit that would allow enough light to get to the bottom.

Since it's time to replace the bulbs I am considering investing the bulb money into an upgrade. Remember this one is 30X30X24. Tough to light at the bottom and that is why I went with the MH 36 inch to be sure.

Any suggestions/recommendations? I know there are a few cubes out there. What are you guys using for light?

400W halide was what I was thinking when I was looking at the 93 cube

I'm in the thinking about getting a 93 cube process and am really thinking hard about the AI LEDs.

Lumen Bright LG Pendant Se with 400 watt Radium bulb will do the trick. That is what I am putting on my 36x36x27 cube and it is what I have on my 90gal corner tank and it is 31in deep I have SPS that grow on the bottom. I actually have an extra pendant as I now have 3 in my possession if you are interested. This is what I'm talking about for referance...

I'm going the same route as jonboyb. Single 400 watt MH with supplement T5's or VHO's

I have twin 250 MH's in PFO fixtures supplemented with a 24" twin tube T-8. They fit nicely and put a great amount of light in to the tank. Everybody seems happy at the moment. I have a build thread on my tank that can be found on here.

I have the same tank lit with 2 lumenarc 250W. I'm actually thinging of going to one and adding 4 ecoxotic panorama LEDs. I had a 400W lumenbrite w/ radium bulb, but wasn't getting the coral coloration I wanted. I think the 400W was too much....
