Lighting Help 75RR

Finally back on track with brand new tank (Thanks Jenn) and stand/canopy (Thanks Tonester_man) I will be slowly gathering the remainder of my equipment. My question is the canopy is roughly 6 in deep so what are my options for lights. I want to keep coral. I new to the reef world as my other tank was FOWLR so I am looking at easy to keep corals. I can get a fixture that was used with the canopy but wanted to make sure I weighted all my options without breaking the bank.

As for lighting, I love my Member Modfied LEDs. I am sure you have seen all the back and forth about how LEDs are nor ready yet but I think they are fine. Can you do better, sure. It is a matter of trade offs. If you are willing to trade lots of cash and lots of heat for the best lighting or are you willing to go for adequate and have something that will save lots of cash over time? LOL

One word of caution. You say you will stick to "Easy to keep coral". Bologna! You will start with a couple of easy corals and the next thing you know you just got to have that mac daddy SPS everyone is talking about. Trust me. LOL

Thanks Rich. I have seen the MM LEDS. I would perfer to go with adequate lighting and save a few bucks on other items. With the style of canopy what would be the best way to install the MM LEDS.

They come with some hanging hardware. You will have to shorten it some but I put one hook that screwed into the canopy center of where I wanted each light. Then I run the four hangers to caribeaner (that comes with them) and hang that off the hook. To get the lights off the water far enough I had to shorten the supply hanger cables but you can get the crimps at Ace Hardware or Home Depot.

By the way, I knew how to spell bologna because I can sign the song. "My bologna has a first name, It's OSCAR, my bologna has a second name it's MEYER."

Edit: Of course, I have no idea how to spell caribeaner but I think you get the piont. hehehehe

Hey Rich are the MM Leds the same that I can find on ebay? If not where can I find them.
